Hi i it was my first time booking a train with ur service and my first time ever booking a train journey, firstly the help I was seeking for from the people in the viz jackets(sorry forgotten the term for it) didn't help because when I asked for help she showed her frustration and so I went around for help especially before boarding the train and coming of, Eventually a polite gentleman saw that I was frustrated and helped me out, on top of that my train was delayed and so i would like a refund for that aswell please, Could this be sorted out it will be much appreciated Thanks

Appalling
3 trains cancelled yesterday to Birmingham New Street due to “staff shortages”. The train to Stanstead on Monday from Birmingham stopped at Leicester and everyone told to get off as there was a signal issue, and the train was cancelled. Found out that the signal issue had been going on since 7am but still people were allowed to board a train when it was known this would happen. Staff are not cooperative and customer service is non-existent. I’ve applied for compensation for both days, so we’ll see what happens. Should be stripped of the franchise. Utterly terrible.

Another Cancelled Train
Boiling hot day and return train 16:12 Leicester to Peterborough cancelled. No advice or explanation given although the guard at the station thought it might have been they had no staff! Why this mob are allowed to run a train service is unbelievable - avoid if possible, you are better off walking.

Staff unhelpful and apparently completely disinterested in customer care or customer experience from my experience. What a shame. Poor public transport is a huge oversight.

No lumbar support on seats or tilt…
No lumbar support on seats or tilt causing Extreme Discomfort and pain very disappointed, seats are also very low that you cannot get up, your spine bulges with extreme pain and discomfort, they should be fined for cheap quality seats causing inconvenience pain distress and health problems, will never use the trains again, discomfort seats for Long and short journeys

Don't travel first class
First class is often full of people paying standard class fares and sometimes nothing at all. The staff don't bother to check tickets, so it is a waste of time to pay the exorbitant first class fare. If you want to share your first class carriage with abusive, rowdy passengers who have paid nothing, then Cross Country is the way to travel.

Ive just boarded the 12.15 from Cheltenham Spa to York. Big shout out for the kind care and attention Sharon the cleaning lady gave to me. She went way and above. Fabulous service Thanks Sharon

All around terrible
The trains are always late, cancelled,
and/or over crowded.

The carriages stink of some cheap cleaning product that's most likely cancerous, and the carriages themselves are shabby with paint chipped off the walls and dirty seats that look like my nan may have travelled on them when she was my age.

Have traveled around the world on public transport as I do not drive, and this is the worst value I've ever received from a transport company.

I'm sat on the train as I write this, steadily being engulfed by the rancid smell. Roll on Birmingham New Street.

Absolute shambles of a train company, I boarded the train at 12.05 due to leave at 12.12 yet at 12.24 we're still sat in the station, there's always issues with this cowboy outfit it's about time they post the contract and a decent mob took over, absolute joke

No seats, no air conditioning and three empty first class carriages. Wow. Having travelled by train throughout Europe I can now officially label this line the worst. Expensive, erratic and frankly pathetic- Cross Country is a rolling stock that matches our government - cheap, dirty and dangerous!

Travelled from Oxford to Manchester…
Travelled from Oxford to Manchester Piccadilly 11/06/22. Absolute diabolical journey. Not enough coaches to match the sales of tickets????. This Company has no regard for their customers well being whilst travelling on their trains. Firstly, apparently there had been a announcement at Southampton that all reserved seats are now unreserved due to a electronic failure. No regard to customers who are travelling from other stations, and have reserved and now there is no where to sit. Seriously who are they trying to fool. More like they sell as many tickets as they can for greed. Reserved tickets is a pot luck game these days. If anybody is sat in your reserved seat, not a chance are they moving for you when they have paid the same standard price. They also give an option to book a quiet coach. Seriously, are you just having a giggle at us. Luggage areas are also jam packed. People are using these trains from the Airport. Therefore people are having to stand in the aisles with there luggage. No chance of getting to the toilet either. People with disabilities are also experiencing a dreadful journey. I dread to think what would happen in case of an emergency. This is only going to get worse. Absolutely disgusting.

Less than pleasant staff, early leaving train
Only just caught my train, which was leaving 2 minutes early, and when i pressed the first door that i got to i was yelled at, somethinng i couldnt hear. Realised id gotten onto the (completely empty) first class coach by mistake so went to find my right coach, the woman on the train told me to go back the way i had come (wrong way), seemingly just to remove me from first class. She was not polite about it, i tried to clarify with her yet i was met with rudeness and i ended up in a random seat in the wrong carriage as sent to by her. I’ve worked in many hospitality settings so generally dont complain however no matter how over the shift i am, i dont speak to people like that

Dirty
Dirty, Late, Overcrowded, Expensive. They put on a four coach train from Plymouth to Aberdeen on 06/06/2022, which WAS full of students going back to Uni and holiday makers going home. A FOUR COACH TRAIN.
